No, no you shouldn’t. The children of this country are more mature, wiser, and compassionate than a large chunk of Americans.

Where are we as a society when people value their guns more then a human life?

Republiguns force us to live like this, stop voting for them.

May their guns jam and blow up in their own faces.

The rest of the world is looking at you Americans and thinking; what is wrong with you?

Adults? Where? Don’t see any around except after a mass shooting. Funny how “adults” always show up “after” a shooting.

those in charge, those who can change this…..they just don’t care about those kids ….after all, they aren’t THEIR kids, so screw ’em.

as ol’ Scrooge said, let them die and decrease the surplus population.

Family Values to gun lovers is buying guns for your kids. Teach them life is cheap while young!!

We need to enforce the 2nd amendment.

Yes, I’m afraid we do. However much some legislators may want gun control laws, too many will lose their jobs if they don’t oppose them, so they can do nothing about it. And their constituents are impenetrably brainwashed by US gun culture. I’d love to see it change, but I haven’t heard anyone who’s on the right side of this issue proposing a way to get it done.

… nor die like that. No civilian needs a weapon that can shoot through walls and pierce standard police body armor. No one.

Some promising news yesterday out of the big house with the round roof in DC. It appears that some bipartisan support is behind a compromise plan to do something sensible about gun violence. Of course, so far it’s only “an agreement in principle”, and the devil’s always in the details (which are yet to be worked out), but this is by far the brightest glimmer of hope we’ve had in decades.
