I read decades ago that women learned to use a mirror to find flaws. Men do not. Women find flaws. Men do not. But I thought Arlo could have handled it much better.
I find that when I really look in the mirror I find itâs not the real me. Itâs some old guy that looks nothing like the way I think I look. I just canât figure out how to make him look like me again.
I guess in my life I never cared about how women looked like when dating. It was more how they treated me. But still single⊠Just old and single now.
All female women are beautiful whether young or old. You just have to convince them of that. The female woman is a work of art, soft, pretty, fun to be with and make the best friends.
The secret is â start loving the body youâve got when youâre young, and keep looking in the mirror every day. That way the changes will be so gradual youâll never stop appreciating what you see. And if anyone else disagrees, thatâs THEIR problem. Thatâs worked well for me!
I never thought I had âlooksâ and still donât. Husband insists I did and insists I havenât changed and still do. (And by now I have finally convinced him that all those TV shows and movies are wrong â I donât want to be flattered, I want THE TRUTH.) I am thinner than when we met by about 10 lbs (been up and been down) but he weighs more than when we met.

Time for Janis to welcome herself to the old and worn club.

Me either, but itâs not a good idea to tell them that, because you might convince themâŠ.

Oh, Janis. Think of it this way. You are aging gracefully like a fine loaf of bread⊠I meant, bottle of wineâŠ

I always looked older than I was which was great when I was 14, even into my 40âs it wasnât so bad. But now, geez.

I found the answer â donât wear glasses/contact lenses when looking in mirror â the detail is out of focus so looks OK
