I had one girlfriend who was a REAL WINNER. Fortunately sanity prevailed.

I like checking the winning number after a big one is taken. It’s never what i would have chosen, so I lose nothing.

Would somebody PLEASE explain to me why, if true love /marriage is the end-all and the be-all of existence, so many people don’t like once they’re in it??? I’m really tired of these worn-out, beat-me-over-the-head with-it jokes. . .

In 2 months, my wife and I will have been married 46 years. Just like any marriage, we have had our occasional rough spots, though thanks to our faith they have been few and brief. I definitely don’t want to do this thing called life without her and I shudder at the possibility of having to do so.

I agree with you, to me, there isn’t much if any humor in the derision, vituperative condemnation of anyone, much less those who we have vowed to love and cherish.

To those who have experienced physical, emotional and psychological abuse, I am truly sorry. I can only wish you the best.
