The French Toast was so old that it attracted French Flies to go with it.

I’d though I’d have cheese toast today. Yeah, that sounds about right.

I had a French teacher in college who was from Lyon. He claimed the image of the French as rude and condescending really only applies to Parisians, “and the rest of the country can’t stand them either.”

On my parents honeymoon, they were told the Chef couldn’t make French Toast because they were out of French Bread.

It’s sad to see a comic perpetuating a stereotype. The French are very friendly, helpful, and all around enjoyable people. The problem is, people equate Paris with being French. Paris is a whole different world that just happens to reside in France.

To say that many Parisians are condescending to foreigners would be an understatement.

Years ago, when my husband was stationed in Germany, we went to Paris and the Riviera for a few days. In Paris, as well as the Riviera, everyone we met was very nice and friendly. The only rude French person we encountered was a Taxi driver in the Riviera. So much for that stereotype.
