LOL Right, Brutus. Don’t you hate to waste your calories on something bad?

It does have its good points

On the bright side, if it tastes bad, you won’t have seconds (though you might get the rest for dinner again tomorrow!)

There’s always salad.

Can’t seem to win without losing huh, Brutus?

For thinking people, terrible food has fewer calories than good food. I mean, if it’s terrible, stop eating.

Gladys must be a talented cook. It is really hard to make bad lasagna. I almost burnt one once and everyone like the caramelized cheese. My mother in law made one with cottage cheese and it was not good but without regatta cheese is it really even lasagna?

But don’t you eat less when it tastes bad? Less calories!!

You got that right, Brutus. If a meal has to make you fatter, at least it should taste good. My favorite Italian meal is Banquet Spaghetti and Meatballs. Cheap and so tasty.

perhaps taste doesn’t effect the calories but the energy it gives…

What do all those gorgeous Italian models eat? Certainly not pasta or salad drowned in dressing, or Italian Bread, or, or , or…

Never waste calories.

This one leaves me speechless. I personally would not continue to eat awful food. My mom gave me a choice of eating dinner with the family or not eating. I was very, very thin until I could learn to cook.

Lasagna is ok but her sister, filet mignon is a delicious dish.

True. A sad fact of life that is. Just gotta “grin and bear it” or go to cooking school or better yet, send her to cooking school as a present. (Two Birds with one stone). However, make sure the school you get her the gift for teaches her how to make the food you want to eat…..

Yep, same old same old?

There have been times when I’d find myself eating something I didn’t like, and then I’d say, “Why am I still eating this?”

Remember those Miller Lite commercials that used the line, “Tastes great, less filling”? If there were a commercial for Gladys’s lasagna, the script might have a line like, “Tastes bad, just as filling!”. I’m not sure anyone would buy Gladys’s lasagna with a line like that in the script.

our former landlord’s wife was a truly terrible cook (speaking from the bitter experience of having sampled her cooking) and many years later, we still joke about the resignation in the landlord’s voice when he said, you know, you just have to eat what’s put in front of you…

Didn’t he recently say her cooking was delicious?
