    Hiaasen? What a Hoot!

Caulfield, Lucky You, your Sick Puppy is not a Basket Case.

When you get older, you can Skinny Dip with Nature Girl on Star Island during Stormy Weather.

Count on Skink to put a Double Whammy on the Bad Monkey over in Mar-a-Lago.

Now, if the next book was a Heinlein, then he’d really have something.

“Click” didn’t look right, so I checked my fave dictionary (Amer. Herit. 4th Ed.). It gives klick (or klik) for kilometer. (Interesting that the comic mixes metric and miles.)

Mrs. Olsen is doing something new in this challenge, maybe Caufield should too. He’s a bit one-dimensional, he should be doing math or music.

While you read Hiaasen, she’ll be heading to splurging on Häagen-Dazs.

Hiaasen is wonderful, but my kids were only allowed to read the one syllable titles, not the two word titles.

Carl Hiaasen (/ˈhaɪ.əsɛn/; born March 12, 1950) is an American journalist and novelist. He began his career as a newspaper reporter and by the late 1970s had begun writing novels in his spare time, both for adults and for young-adult readers. Two of his novels have been made into feature films.

I like “Naked Came the Manatee.” Particularly after having read the book it is parodying and the movie of that book. I knew one of the writers of the original book. They did not think it was going to be such a hit.
