Me and my wife with the roles reversed. I think next time I will offer to render her unconscious and see if it works. The trouble is I fall asleep in front of the desktop often enough for her to know the light from her tablet doesn’t bother me.
No screens in my bedroom ever, not even a TV. If I need to charge my phone, it’s face down. I only have it in the room in case of an emergency. I have it set for night mode for calls/texts only from certain people. Insomniacs have to go the extra mile to get any decent sleep. I only go against the rules by having a clock. If I don’t know the time when I wake up, I can’t easily go back to sleep. How should I know how long I slept if I don’t know what time it is? I have woken up less than an hour after I fell asleep and thought it was time to get up. I think I need a factory reset on my brains’ sleep mode functions, but I do the best I can.
My wife does that and then complains about not being able to sleep. Of course many studies show the blue light on phones and tablets is harmful to sleep but she won’t believe that.
