This is kind of weird, why is Swdgewick at THIS camp? He has his own private cabin and all but it clearly isn’t a special place for the children of the super rich, it just looks like a regular camp with average kids and a staff of people who won’t pander to his privileged demands. Did his father send him here in an attempt to teach him a certain level of humility or are they just facing financial strain?
“In the squares of the city, In the shadow of a steeple;By the relief office, I’d seen my people. As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking,Is this land made for you and me?”(original 6th verse to Woody Guthrie’s song)
From way back in grade school:“This land is my land, This land ain’t your land, I got a shotgun,And you ain’t got one,If you don’t get off,I’ll blow your head off,This land was made for only me!”

No, this land was made for common people; it was taken by people of your socioeconomic status.

He’s so cheerfully evil that you can’t help but like him. Sort of like Richard III (the WS version).

I’ve never heard any Native American viewpoints about that song.

The camp leaders are usually pretty peaceful, but for Sedgwick’s sake I hope Jarvis isn’t far away.

People seem to have forgotten that this song, the full version of which is rarely sung, was written by none other than Woody Guthrie.
