I received an email from Queen of America early Saturday evening. Seems that one of the new fosters is readying to leave Queen’s abode. Here are QoA’s accompanying comments:
“Her new mom will need to stock up on band-aids. This baby drew blood today.

I’d forgotten what it was like to have a kitten in the house – into EVERYTHING. And I’m keeping her confined to the den.

She got behind my desk/hutch and pulled a cord out so after I got that back, I just cleaned the entire room, including behind the desk.

I stuffed a little quilt back there to keep her out. I’ll be glad when Monday comes and she moves to her new home.
NATIONAL PINA COLADA DAYNATIONAL KITTEN DAY. A day for little Oliver (the “stoolie”?) and for my 3 babies. If my gray kitten turns out to be a boy, I could name that one Oliver. That didn’t work last timer when I discovered my Oliver was a girl and I changed her name to Molly. So far, I’m thinking of the gray one as a girl because it looks so much like Mom cat, Annie.
When I went in the upstairs bathroom today to see Annie, she was no longer hiding behind the toilet. She was hiding in a cat carrier that I had left in there. So, I closed the door on her and she is now in the cage in the living room with her babies. So, I have my bathroom back! And it is so much better for her, too. That first day that I had her and the kittens in there it was a hot day and it was pretty hot in the bathroom. But the way Annie was literally bouncing off the walls to get away from me, I didn’t feel safe about opening the window. I was afraid she would hit the open window with enough force to knock out the screen and she would go through the window. Now she is in a room with air conditioning. Much better!
I got all 3 kittens to play with me a little while ago. It was hard to engage the gray one in play, but I got all of them to play with one of those fishing pole type toys for quite a while. I could not get Annie to play.
Who wrote “Oliver is a stoolie” on the wall? (Probably Chesney.) That’s not very nice. (Funny, yes, nice, no.) On another note, saw a dragonfly, a junco, a squirrel, and a robin while out walking today.

If only the warehouse had an old out of tune piano, just to irritate our boy Ches.

I remember this one well due to ‘Oliver is a stoolie’ on the so-called penitentiary wall.
