That’s funny. When I was Red’s age us girls said boys have cooties!

Well, there’s ONE similarity between Red and Calvin!!

BTW, is that Red’s mother?? She’s very pretty—unlike Calvin’s dowdy drab!!

Didn’t know what cooties really were exactly – but they had ’em.

Unimpeachable logic, Red. Hard to believe he grew up to be Kurtwood Smith.

Rover will take care of those mean old cooties!

In Red’s defense, if it’s the same two girls he’s had to share his pool with before, they are rather annoying. At least to him.

“Cootie” is a family nickname (my maiden name is “Coutermarsh”). I had the worst time in school about this because not only did I have “Girl Cooties”, but I had “Cootie-Cooties”. To this day I hate when I hear it.

That’s okay, Red! I’m not fond of those twins either. But it makes for good story, lol!

When I was Red’s age, if a girl could not play baseball she was of no interest. There were two…Angela and Jackie.

Here’s something I remember from when the Mintz Twins shared the pool with Red and Rover last year:

“Ring-a-ring-a-Rover,

A pocket full of Clover,

Splashes! Splashes!

All get wet!"

It’s a sorority and a conspiracy against all men. The sooner you understand that fact, the better off you will be….

I just love Rover’s eyes. I can see him saying “Oh Brother”. LOL. (Nice touch Mr. Basset).

Likely there are dozens of dead fleas floating on the water; back then flea collars/powder were not very effective and dogs had a lot of fleas.

I see Rd & Rover got a new pool today ……….. looks a little deeper then yesterday’s ………… :)

Rover: I have nothing.

LOL…. Red’s logic is pretty good today. Just not about girls and cooties.
