As Kenny Rogers sang in The Gambler, “Every hand’s a winner, and every hand’s a loser.”
The Democrats have been dealt a winning hand, but are terrible on forming a message, developing a “take no hostages” gloves-off strategy and actually playing the hand to win.
Biden inherited the Trump economic collapse resulting from Trump’s failure to rein in the Covid pandemic when it could have been snuffed out early, and its disruption of jobs, production and our entire supply chain.
Biden restored economic growth, and then consumer demand exceeded the ability of Trump’s broken supply chain to provide for it.
Nevertheless, the Biden economic record:
• 3.6% unemployment, lowest in decades; fastest reduction ever in history
• 7.9 MILLION new jobs added in first; most ever in a single year, and continued job growth exceeding expectations.
• U.S. GDP 5.7% — double the average since 1976
• Wages up 5.6%
• Deficit reduced by $1.3 TRILLION — most ever in a single year
Inflation? There was a WORLDWIDE reaction to supply chain issues and Russian invasion, which greedy corporations used to fuel illegal PRICE GOUGING DURING AN EMERGENCY situation, multiplying profits by orders of magnitude, and many times over the amounts actually justified by interruptions in supply. Yet Biden successfully managed to keep our inflation lower than most other industrial countries.
Gas prices have fallen every day for the last 28 days straight. Biden’s aggressive efforts are paying off.
Remember all those ships stuck outside of Long Beach and Los Angeles ports after Trump’s failure to control COVID early on crashed the economy, threw people out of work and broke the supply chain? As warehouses emptied, prices rose.
Biden has succeeded in breaking that backlog, that logjam. Now those ships are almost all unloaded and warehouses cannot hold the sudden glut of new inventory. As sellers rush to ease the glut, prices will drop.
My Democrats defend soundbites like ‘defund police’ as crime rates are rising while the GOP creates soundbites that stoke fear and mistrust. Guess which party is more effective at motivating voters?

Since the Qpublicans don’t have any REAL ANSWERS to the REAL PROBLEMS facing America because of Twitler, they have to make up as many as they can.

And like a good President doing the job we elected him to do, President Biden is doing his best to deal with those Republican created landmines.

Actually, that shuffleboard cue should work well at pushing those landmines into the path of oncoming Republican warriors.

Those shouldn’t be considered land mines. Those are legitimate issues which need to be addressed and resolved.

He promised to defeat Trump. It would be nice if he were actively seeking to defeat trumpism.

I would watch golf if it involved land mines.
