Some States are looking at pregnancy as a potential crime in the making, in Texas performing an abortion is a second degree felony, punishable by up to life in prison. At what point does the religious right look to capital punishment and justify “honor killing” of someone returning to the State after getting an abortion???

My first thought was that Bennett had used a naughty word the censor disliked.

In one case, a central Texas hospital reportedly told a physician not to treat an ectopic pregnancy until it ruptured, the letter said. An ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when a fertilized egg attached outside of the uterus, is not viable.

“Delayed or prevented care in this scenario creates a substantial risk for the patient’s future reproductive ability and poses serious risk to the patient’s immediate physical wellbeing,” the letter said.

For those who can’t see it, it’s a prison uniform with the name tag ‘Pregnant’. Overturning Roe v Wade doesn’t criminalize pregnancy but rather ending the pregnancy. But it does invoke the question of will there be mass incarceration for women who choose to not give birth to children they do not want for whatever reason? Our legal system has foolishly locked up and ruined the lives of millions of otherwise upstanding citizens for low level drug offenses. Do we want to go down that same road with unwanted pregnancies?

Those maternity clothes will fit if some poor woman has a miscarriage or eptopic pregnancy in Texas. Hospitals aren’t supposed to treat her medically for those now.

On second thought, the eptopic pregnant woman won’t have to worry about those clothes since it will kill her.

I am very upset that gocomics censored this Clay Bennett political cartoon … Political cartoons are a feature of gocomics and are meant to address controversial topics; if go comics is going to continue to offer these as part of paid for service it is necessary that gocomics let the viewers do their own deciding… shame on you, gocomics!!!
