Tracy probably should have kept with the fur-lined winter jacket. Maybe he thinks he’s more approachable without it, but maybe not, since the people clam up as soon as he tries to talk to them.
Looking at them today you would never know that Tracy and the ‘many hats’ guy ever had bad blood between them. Maybe Moon Maid Mom can get Dicky a one on one with So-Ray ?
Reviewing yesterday’s strip, I noticed that while Tracy’s breath is seen as vapor because of the cold in each panel, none of the Lunarians’ breath can be seen. Just an observation; I’m not sure if it means anything.
Tracy stumbles across a vast chamber filled with titanic rocket-launching tanks, but is easily put off the trail when one of the local assumes a Jed Clampet voice and explains: “Wheeeee moon doggies! Them’s fer gopher control. We’uns got a passle of them critters, and they do love Granny’s turnips.”
Gidget, in the soda fountain next door, has a snit.
“A secret world of animals and plants—including unknown species—may live in warm caves under Antarctica’s glaciers, scientists said Friday.
“The caves, hollowed out by steam from active volcanoes, are light and could reach temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius (77 Fahrenheit), researchers said, raising the possibility of a whole ecosystem of flora and fauna deep beneath the frozen surface.”

just an observation of something that I have noticed as this story has progressed… it seems that towards the end of the Memory arc and now the LoonAryan arc, comments have seemed to dramatically increase… why IS that?… is it because of the Memory arc that the readers have become disenchanted at what’s being presented to us story-wise and are feeling negative and vocal about it?… as the LoonAryan arc progressed, has the readership hoped that this arc may be a sort of turnaround in quality, but it seems to have not lived up to the expectations of the readership?… I HAVE noticed that the comment numbers has increased quite a bit from several months ago… ARE we becoming frustrated with what we are given every day?… or is it just coincidence that numbers have gone up at this time?… I’m just curious as to what my fellow Tracers thoughts and opinions are on all of this…
For humanity, it’s a cold day in New Moon Valley, in more ways than one. While intrigued by the Stranger-in-Yellow, Lunarians have little to say to him, keeping their own counsel and being highly Laconic except for the occasional chirpy one, such as yesterday’s Sor-Ay, quickly shushed by her companion (who happens to be a member of the cabal, and so had reason to want her to shut up). Look at the funny-looking man in the strange yellow clothes, Mama: he’s got no antennae!
So, Tracy ducks back indoors to warm up and for another morning cup of coffee and some conversation with Ambassador. The investigation is not exactly off to a rip-snorting start, but at least Tracy is making himself known and trying to connect with ordinary Lunarians….

It’s nice that that the MoonGuvBassador can heat up the pot with just his hands. Putting that Moon Power to good use!

Since the Lunarians live in the cold… How will they conquer a world that has 4 seasons, 3 of which run from warm to very hot ?
Just wondering…
