Are they in a time warp? Killebrew retired in 1975.

In 1954 and part of 1955, centerfielder Jim Busby and third baseman Harmon Killebrew were on the same Washington Senators team. Alas, that was the dawn of “The Killer”s career, and he didn’t hit any grand slammers during those seasons.

Busby was traded to the White Sox. Killebrew remained with that version of the Senators until they moved to Minnesota and became the Twins, torturing junior circuit pitchers for 573 home runs.

But hey, I’m all for a return to 1955 continuity if we can get some stories with Frank King’s cast of characters ; )

They’re looking pretty good for being in their mid-seventies.

If it’s still the 1950s and 1960s, why is Walt 112 years old?

In this age of personal devices with easy finger tip access, I imagine this happens 10,000 times a day all across America … :\

With 573 of them, Harmon Killebrew* is in 12th place in the list of MLB’s career home runs. At the time he retired, he was in 5th place. Every time another player went past 573, Killebrew telephoned the other player to congratulate him.

The only Killebrew in Major League Baseball history did hit a lot of homers. But he retired 47 years ago and died 11 years ago.

Hey, I’m ready to return to Killebrew days. We can bring back a younger Walt and Skeezix, and even resurrect Phyllis.

I had no interest in most organized sports, yet I am familiar with Harmon Killebrew.
