Dare I say it? When I started reading the book title, I was expecting it to be “Bringing Your Dinner Back Up.”

Today is:

NATIONAL CHEESECAKE DAY. I’m in!

NATIONAL FATHER-IN-LAW-DAY

SIL is on the HOA Board here in Sun City. He was at a meeting this morning. Another board members husband insisted on attending the meeting and putting in his two cents worth. Only board members can attend meetings, so SIL asked him to go in the house and not be there. Guy walks over and sucker pu ches SIL in the eye! Then when he tries to stand up, guy pushes him down. Cops are called, charges are filed and the afternoon was spent in the ER. ( No damage but a black eye)I guess Retirement Communities aren’t quiet and peaceful after all!

Annie will be spayed on Monday. On Saturday morning, I’m going to pick up some medicine at the vet to put in her canned food. It’s a mild sedative to help make her easier to handle on Monday morning. I’m supposed to give her one dose on Sunday night and another early Monday, 2-3 hours before I bring her in to the vet. Not only will she be spayed, but she will also be vaccinated and treated with Capstar and Revolution for fleas. It’s a lot to spend on a cat I probably won’t keep, but I need to take care of her. I’m going to ask my brother, Daniel if he and his wife can try keeping Annie for a while. They have a large animal cage they could put her in while they try to befriend her. They don’t have any cats anymore. Maybe Annie will accept them. Maybe she just hates me because I trapped her. If they take her and it doesn’t work out, I can take her back and turn her loose in my garage. Or they can help me get her to the Madison Cat Project (formerly known as Friends of Ferals). I tend to get lost in Madison and Daniel might know that area. I don’t know if they’ll take her, but I can at least ask. I love Annie. I wish she could love me.

Good one Ches! I imagine YOUR page is actually the cover, and already sweetly colored inside the lines. Under 100 here today, with a 60+ percent chance of rain Sunday and Monday and down to 91. We’ll see…

And who do you think makes Annie ‘miffed’, Chesney. You are lucky she uses the broom to move you and not the toe of her shoe.

We had some major rain, wind, thunder and lightning last night. Lost power for about 20 min. We thought it was a pretty good storm. Until I got a text from Dr Susan. She lives in another part of town and her surrounding landscape is a little different than ours. Plus, all of the homes have flat rooves so there’s nothing to break the wind. She lives in a community called Sky Ranch – most people have airplanes over there. Here’s what she said: “My area last evening. (Thurs) Our Sky Ranch pilot weather station clocked winds at 98-100 mph. One roof blew completely off, others lost lots of tiles. Someones’ travel trailer got blown over. We had to hire a sweeper vehicle to clear the debris off of the runway. My swamp coolers were badly damaged one of of the big wooden ladders broke.” (she has two of those decorative ladders that go from the ground to her second story) I’ve never experienced winds like that before. I was afraid my roof might peel off. I have no basement so where would I go? Scary! All of the cats ran under beds or into closets." She has probably 20 of her own cats and is fostering at least one adult and some kittens.

It’s everywhere….folks just can’t get along anymore. I am glad I am a recluse…with just me, my wife and numerous cats!

If Annie is miffed, it’s because she has to deal with Chesney being mean to her. (Nice drawing, though.) On another note, saw a hummingbird, two chickadees, and a spotted towhee while out walking today.

Ich freue mich über das von Chesney gezeichnete “Malbuch”. Es wird mir Spaß machen, alles auszumalen. Jetzt muss ich nur noch die Comicbildchen ausdrucken und dann habe ein allerliebstes Malbuch. Das erinnert mich an meine Kindheit, da habe ich auch gerne Bilder ausgemalt. ♡♡♡

I’m excited about Chesney’s drawn “colouring book”. I’m going to have fun colouring everything. Now I just need to print out the cartoon pictures and then I’ll have a very favorite colouring book. It reminds me of my childhood, when I loved colouring pictures, too. ♡♡♡
