I’ve been keraunophobic since I was a kid.

Martin Van Buren had the bad fortune to follow a big populist President, Andrew Jackson, and then got blamed for the 1837 recession. Van Buren initiated the pre-Civil War cycle of mediocre, mostly weak, one-term Presidents that lasted until the Civil War. Are we currently in another cycle of mediocre, one-term Presidents?

My brother had that phobia as a kid. His fear was kind of extreme. I was afraid as a kid too, but not so much I’d hide under a pillow. I would just plug my ears.

i had 6002 thoughts yesterday

I don’t suffer from Keraunophobia, but in my case it would be a justified fear. I was watching tv as a kid when lightning struck the antenna and blew up the tv, Was opening a metal screen door as lightning struck near enough for me to get a shock from the door, and of course the tree struck by lightning that just missed falling on me when i was playing outside as a kid in a thunderstorm.

Martin Van Buren was the first person to serve as Vice-President, be elected President and lose when he ran for re-election. George HW Bush was the second.

Dogs don’t know what it is called but many certainly suffer from Keraunophobia!

Mrs. Fogwhistle would like to comment that the BION quality of this feature has declined to the same level as the prizes offered in a box of Cracker Jacks. Once you got something tangible you could show your friends. Now?? Not so much.

My list: Her best friend Stephanie, that barista at our coffee shop, and my ex girlfriend.
