Shouldn’t that be an “is being” before it turns into a “has been?” It would seem more gramatically correct. Anyway, Ziggy, we all love you anyway. If you were all those things you want to be, we’d have a harder time relating to you. After all, we aren’t those things either.
At an antiques store, I recently purchased a copy of Ziggy’s Sunday Funnies — The Best of the Seventies (Andrews & McMeel, 1981). Take it from me, Ziggy, back then you were a “been.”
