You’re real down in the dumps lately, Zigg. You have many people who have followed you for 50+ years. Think outside your box and you’ll feel better!

ziggy, it can’t be that bad. It can. it is. While things can only get better.

I think ZIggy has been a “has-been” since day one forty-ish years ago.

If you don’t remember having been a “been”. …

… maybe you aren’t a “has-been”.

“You’re a washed up has-been.”

“That’s better than being a never-was.”

You are more of a have been!

is that the same as a “never-was”?

Hey Ziggy, that’s why we don’t have to worry abut losing our “good looks.”

It’s hopeless he is what he is and that’s the way we like him.

Shouldn’t that be an “is being” before it turns into a “has been?” It would seem more gramatically correct. Anyway, Ziggy, we all love you anyway. If you were all those things you want to be, we’d have a harder time relating to you. After all, we aren’t those things either.

You’re an inspiration to us all.

At an antiques store, I recently purchased a copy of Ziggy’s Sunday Funnies — The Best of the Seventies (Andrews & McMeel, 1981). Take it from me, Ziggy, back then you were a “been.”
