Once you get in the habit …
Will this arc never die?
Iron men they ain’t.
Well, reading wouldn’t have changed Caulfield’s appearance. Apparently, the 27 miles didn’t do much for Olsen either. Guess she made doughnut/coffee stops instead of water stops.
I’m Spartacus!
Like G. F. Handel and Domenico Scarlatti, Rome, 1709 (ca.).
Had to look it up. Ironman 89.
Since I didn’t know the last panel reference…

“Mark Allen came to Kona five times trying to win the Ironman and to beat Dave Scott. On his sixth attempt it finally happened.”

I don’t know who Mark Allen or Dave Scott were, nor do I care enough to look them up.
They ran side by side for about 18 miles of the run, never saying a word to each other. It was epic.
Mrs. Olsen knows about Ironman competitions?!?
I remember watching that Ironman. Pretty intense.
I didn’t know the reference and appreciate the readers who posted the info. One less rabbit hole to fall into.
If you want to go Hawaiian hardcore, try the Moloka’i Hoe Outrigger Race.
News flash, guys. Mrs Olsen, the doctor says you still have to keep walking. Caulfield, Mrs Olsen says you still have to keep reading.
Mark Allen? The longtime local news anchorman in Terre Haute, Indiana?
“No, I am Spartacus!”
America – the only place where the phrase “Killing it” means doing something really well. :P
Okay, who are they?
Neither of them will “win” till they learn to do their reading/walking for the enjoyment of it.
