He’s gone a step too par.

He is mastering the language and accent.

Small cavil: If he’s off to Scotland, it’s whisky he’s drinking, not whiskey; that spelling applies to everything other than Scotch. In any case, Hubby’s preparing for the trip the same way I would. I don’t golf anyway. (I would like to visit St. Andrew’s links and not play golf, but have a “wee drappie o’t” (Robt. Burns) at the 18th hole.)

Scotch whisky is a poor substitute for good bourbon whiskey.

We briefly drank scotch in college when we were pretending to be grown-ups.

Makes perfect sense to me … < raise a glass … > … ;)
