I have always loved this arc of Lacey befriending Alice. It’s genuinely sweet and speaks to both characters. Lacey before she even mistakes Alice for her sister just genuinely bonds with someone on the polar oppisite end of life with not the slightest trouble, and Alice sees a person needing a friend and is there for her. No ulterior motives, nothing but sharing what little she has.

First time around for this strip, the Jazz Age was about 60 years ago. So many readers may have remembered it. Now, it’s more like 85 years ago, so going beyond human memory.

For more information on Alzheimer’s research, look up Professor Raphael Mechoulam at the University of Jerusalem in Israel, you will see his progress of using concentrated THC and medicinal CBD to halt early onset Alzheimer’s, and other dementias. Professor Mechoulam is the biomedical researcher that discovered and isolated the THC molecule in the mid 1960’s.

Okay, while I don’t necessarily want to encourage the consumption of pet food, I will admit to not being above it. If you ever liked a C-Ration, you know what I’m talking about. Not MRE’s, that’s a whole different level of sux

I remember during Reagan’s recession, which was the worst crash since the 1929 depression and now outdone by Bush2 in 2008, people on Social Security in the news for needing to eat cat food. It was a lot cheaper than tuna.

Opening a can of cat food – a sure fire producer of the gag response. And I don’t mean ha ha!
