There’s that hug that people were asking for the other day. Thorin is going to do better for the sake of Honeymoon, but she is right to point out that all the other kids and, really the whole population of New Moon Valley (and maybe the rest of the Earth, too) is counting on him to do things right.
Honeymoon apparently doesn’t frighten as easily as he thinks. At least, she pretends not to.
A very touching end to this story line… Honeymoon is very wise for her age…as well as caring… asking grandpa Thorin to do we for the sake of her cousin Zoran and all of the other Lunarians…
Thorin seems genuinely sorry for putting Honey and Mysta in danger and Honey really DOES expect MoonGrandpa to change for the better, as a new generation of Lunarians will be counting on him to do so in becoming a better person and a better leader than what Ro tried to make himself out to be… it’s a feel-good moment between granddaughter and MooonGranda… today’s installment is showing that Honey is growing up and maturing and Thorin may finally be doing a little growing up and maturing on HIS part, as well, not only for his people but for Honey, too… sometimes it’s the things that kids say to us that touch our hearts and sometimes shame us and make us realize, too…
and yet AGAIN, Shelley makes the first and third panels powerful and emotional ones… the first panel conveying Thorin’s shame at what he did and the third panel conveying family bonding between granddaughter and grandpa… well done, Shelley…
“Not just me, my cousin, Zoran the other kids and many more are counting on you”. Possible translation, get it together because when my generation starts running things, your generation grandpa will be out in the cold. (no pun intended)
When Honey was 5 or 6 she looked out the window and saw her mother get blown up by a bomb.Collins never went into the possible after-effects of that;although when Mysta was introduced Curtis danced around it a little.
Aww! Nice hug :D Also, while Thorin is obviously aware of so many lives depending on his leadership, I feel like Honeymoon spelling it out will be a weighty reinforcement of those facts!
_“Good by Tracy, be seeing you soon.” Thor-In tells the great detective with a smile. Earth is their new home (or old home forgotten) and there are places they can set up colonies in areas inhospitable to humans. The life creches can produce a new generation in a very short time. Neural imprinting in vitro they will be speaking and thinking when they come out in just 7 months the size of Terran 7-year olds. The Life Generation Engine hasn’t been used in centuries. However, Antartica is there to conquer and inhabit first.
Mr. Curtis has written many excellent stories. I like the NMV aspect to this series seriously. Chester Gould gave is comic strip extra dimension and narrative potential, by creating it in the first place. So, l have no complaints about this story’s setting or its characters. I just think this tale could’ve had some added depth to its story and more time focused on Tracy digging for facts and finding them. But l did like this story. Many of the readers here have made many valid and interesting observations. So,I really like the healthy exchange of ideas that takes place here.

Good morning™, warmly embraced !
I hope the Gov’s deeds are as good as his words. Other than that Honeymoon has truly reunited with kin she hasn’t seen in several c00n’s age.

Honeymoon might come better getting her maternal grandfather’s promise in writing. So often things are said because the person was in the moment.

NOTE TO WIKI/FANDOM KEEPERS
1.)Snake Eyes,Collins’ last villain,still doesn’t have his own page/
2.)Go Go Gomez made his first appearance as a con man in a Mr.Magoo cartoon.
He somehow ended up switching sides—-assisting Joe Jitsu and then soloing

1-THOR-IN: OK – you got your orders. Get Bribery’s Ring from Tracy and Fed-Ex it to me.
2-HONEY MOONS: Yeah? What do I get out of it? THOR-IN: Uhh…
3-…Do hugs from ol’ Grampa still work on kids your age?
HONEY MOONS: NO! AND I DON’T DRINK SNAIL COFFEE SO DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT COP OUT! Also – what do you NMV people have against deodorant???
THOR-IN: You know NMV smells like rotten fish and therefore our B.O. doesn’t make an impression.
HONEY: Well outside of NMV, it can knock your dam horns off!
THOR-IN: Duly noted. Now get that Ring!

Sniff.
It’s all terribly sentimental. Honeymoon with a few short sentences elicits a pledge to “do better” from irascible old Gov Thorin.
All for the best, I’m not denying, but treacly nonetheless.
Shall we dub her Little Buttercup?
