Husband looks like he has good sized stomach over his belt, but most of it is a hernia that he will not do anything about (for decades). Then he complains that his pants slide down even with the belt as tight as he can make it – belt is under the paunch formed by the hernia. I try to explain to him that due to his hernia he has an angled area under it where his belt is worn with nothing to keep the belt/pants up and in place as the belt slides down the angled area. (He would also have a many fewer digestive problems if he dealt with it.)
