Jesus says, “Salt is good” (Luke 14:34). No wonder they killed Him.

“Danger Horse?” I was expecting him to wear an all-white outfit and an eye patch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danger_Mouse_(1981_TV_series)

Ingredients like this are usually given in volume measurements like a teaspoons, tablespoons, cups (or fractions thereof) – or something imprecise (like a pinch). I don’t think most people have a scale or balance for this – how much is an ounce of salt?

Gonna need a jug of water at the ready on the side for that dish.

“Danger Horse” is already on hypertension control medication.

(I can’t help but think of Neptunian chef Elzor from “Futurama” – “Bam!” with the salt.)

Nearly 6 teaspoons of salt in one dish is too much and he’s adding half again which brings it up to nearly 9 tsp.! That better be a huge meal he’s making because that much salt in human food would be inedible.

I once ordered a pound of pulled pork from what USED to be my favorite BBQ restaurant. It was brought to me in a clamshell of the size used to hold a Whopper or Big Mac. I expressed my doubt that it could hold a whole pound of meat, so to humor me the cute young server took it back to the kitchen and brought it back with the assurance that it was indeed a pound. As soon as I got home, I weighed it on my kitchen scale: 12 ounces. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. Since she immediately agreed to adjust my credit-card tab to account for the missing 4 ounces, I couldn’t help wondering if it had happened before. Evidently restaurant managers can no longer take for granted that their new hires know how many ounces are in a pound.
