Didn’t know they pickled balls. Cucumbers, eggs, mushrooms, and jalapenos, yes. “Tennis elbow” pad was more likely worn while he was drinking beer outside on the patio. I know it would be for me. Hooray for Tommy Copper!
This Plugger would get oval tans on back of my hands from bicycling gloves. I also got a triangle sunburn on my neck from welding. And a tanned left arm truckers tan.
I have a “trucker’s” tan on my left arm and my right arm is significantly whiter than my left, but still has a bit of a tan up to the shirt sleeve line. :o) My left arm also has a wrist watch shaped white patch. The rest of me is “glow-in-the-dark” white.
I don’t tan, I burn – since I was a child. Other than a quick run to car/run into store trip out I have to use suntan lotion.
Throw in that bugs love to bite me and I always have to wear a “bug band” all the time I am out (gave up trying to deal with bug lotion and sun lotion at same time) – and that is why going out is a major trip unless running quickly into car then into store or two and then back.

I think you can also get that tan line from wearing gauze too long after your blood donation.

My left arm is two shades darker than my right arm, driver’s tan.

For me the tan line comes from wearing a watch ;-)

My dad always wore a watch, except on vacation. Every year his wrist got burned.

Which still looks less odd than the tan lines from the 70s knit sweat band around you head.

my gauze doesn’t even make it out the door, let alone to the car! Hate those things!
