Joey bud, you gotta remember, tha’ts not the catch all “i’m a good guy” term it used to be for “you almost quit remember” reasons.

Keeping your kids in bubble wrap is a sure fire way to raise them to be terrible people. A little risk builds character and confidence.

Remember, the 1st rule of organizational safety is ensuring protection from lawyers (the ravenous beasts), all other considerations are secondary.

That’s what you got for saying one of the words on “the list” (see yesterday’s strip)

I see they still make the parents squeeze into the kids’ seats!

But don’t treat your kid like a bubble boy.

That lady on the right has the right reaction.

it’s an unfortunate self-fulfilling prophesy that when you treat people like criminals they BECOME criminals. With such strict security measures the kids will grow up with a general contempt for authority figures and a hatred of school and other organizations. They’ll be kept safe for now, but will be radicalized later which would put them at odds with much more dangerous consequences.

Gun free zones and other rules that make people defenseless are demonstrably bad ideas and yet their is a loud contingent of the USA that continues to double down on that stupidity.

Just how extinct/non-extinct ARE “parent-teacher conferences” these days?

Gun are not allowed on anyone unless they are working at the school. Surely Joe knows that.
