The weirder you become, the more invisible you become to the popular kids. They hardly notice you because the avoid you.

Hope you feel that way for a decade. Not a knock of her intellect, just that her aging for this year was due to the alignment of the planets.

Dakota, just get used to it already. Your best friends are weird. Just accept it. Also I hope whoever this new kid is isn’t just a one off if only because i’d be intrested in seeing some new blood at the school. I get not widening Phoebe’s social circle TOO much or too fast, and outside sources like camp and magic stuff have netted us winners like Sue and Ferny, i’d just be curious to see that, as well as to see one of Dakota’s friends not be a one dimensional snob and actually last. It creates more conflict and comedy if ther’es an actual pull to Dakota’s popular life and not just her refusing to accept the inevitble.

Fifth grade for me was in catholic school. I’m still afraid of penguins.

Dakota still has a high consideration of her. Now Phoebe can be happy again.

Oh man. I wanted to hear the story of how Dakota was in a zoom with 5 other people last week; it sounds like the stuff of legends.

Zoom? She doesn’t use Discord? Even I know that all the kids are on Discord.

At least she called her “Phoebe”…

Having been a weird kid and having not changed much in the 50 plus years since my majority, I agree with Phoebe.

Maybe Drax could give you a few pointers.

I keep being reminded of “The Lady’s Not For Burning”—or else the episode, “Sic Transit Vir” of “Babylon 5”. I’m not sure which.

Now she just needs to meet a boy who is also weirder.
