Reminds me of a time in college; I was taking a health class. We were supposed to take the pulse of the person sitting next to us. The person taking my pulse was a really cute girl. My pulse came in at 104. The professor asked if I had a fever. Noooo.
I had a big fight with cancer that I survived. The bills that appeared in m mailbox were mind-boggling. My blood pressure didn’t rise, but that of my insurance provider probably did (no co-pay). ;-)
True story. I was young and single and in the hospital. A beautiful nurse’s aid came in to take my pulse. She said: “Oh my – your pulse is rather high!”
They need to raise insurance policy limits to match how much medical care costs these days. I was in a car accident recently and it was the other guy’s fault, the medical policy coverage on his car insurance is $25k which is pretty much standard. But the trip to the ER after the accident used up almost ALL $25k! They didn’t put me in a room or do an IV, I was there for a few hours and they did a couple of CTscans that’s it!
Doesn’t leave any money for any more medical bills (I’ve since been to see an orthopedic surgeon and gotten MRI’S) or for pain and suffering! I’ll probably have to use the under insured coverage from my own car insurance which I thankfully have, not everyone does!

Only in the comix, but point taken. Insurance companies wait until end of month statements for billing.

Blood pressure measurement without the doctor’s stethoscope must be quite expensive

Canadians live longer than our friends to the South because we don’t pay individually for visits to the doctor’s office.

I’m disappointed — no more Jarvis and Sedgwick for awhile.

Mr. Meddick doesn’t know how a blood pressure cuff works, but does get his point across. ;-D

You can’t take an accurate bp without a stethoscope, and certainly not by just feeling the pulse.

Doctor humor. Not so funny in reality, though. Monty may be going into (sticker-)shock….
