Well, by golly, yep, it did happen.

What happened? Did I miss something?

Yea well he coulda got that badge out of gumball machine for the Ringmaster knows. I say call the REAL cops, ya know those boys over in Keystone.

I agree- it happened. Now can we all go home?

Finally we have a true murder case. And Tracy use the badge and said “Police”, This is a great step for the mankind and for the dick tracy fans.

This being a family strip, they wouldn’t let the ringmaster say, “$hit happens”. So he keeps saying, “It Happened.” What a crock of It.

To Grokenstein: Yes it’s a murder case. If the ringmaster say “It Happened” this means something. And is good we see finally Tracy make the true policeman after months. This is a good start for this new storyine.

The Ringmaster is just stating a fact. So far it’s only an accident and no proof of a murder.

You believe? Maybe behind this accident there’s a blackmail vs the circus or the ringmaster.

Hey, it’s gotta be better’n the last dozen storylines! I believe! C’mon, Macy - show us!

IT HAPPENED ?

What’s GOING to happen, is more distressing,

Basically the same thing we see today, “Over and over and over”, for the next FOUR weeks.

And someone once said nothing is “wanting” in Locher’s work.

Step ONE, try getting to the point a little faster. Aim for one week

Finally, someone with longer lashes than DT. This is the moment I have been waiting for! Finally, I get to….. oh crap. What was I going to do again? It happened, ahhhhhh.

Yawn! Did I miss anything?

To Grokenstein: yes, there’s no reason for Tracy to assume there’s a murder, but in this moment it’s the only policeman on the place. Guys, waiting until tomorrow for criticize, see what happen on the strip and which plot we have. I think this is finally a good moment. We have, maybe, a good storyline. C’mon!!!

Looks like she picked up an extra Madona cone during the fall. Tracy’s back to his Charlie Chan look in panel 3. “MR. RINGMASTER”! don’t ignore me! I’m important! Meanwhile, Tess began wondering if it would be fun to get in the clown car.

Ok, I give up. Let’s just make the strip about that giant robot from a few months back…at least that way it will be purely stupid, and not a painfully stupid shadow of something that did not used to be so stupid.

…I feel bad using the word “stupid” so many times. But then, there really was a giant robot in the strip, wasn’t there?

I don’t know where this story is going, but at least it’s moving along a lot faster than the last one. We can only hope.

The shadows are really strange in panel 2, and Dick’s right arm is at an impossible angle in Panel 3, but by the standards Locher sets for himself, today is actually pretty good. Ringo’s dialogue, while strange and inane, isn’t something I can condemn yet from what we’ve seen of the character.

“waiting (sic) until tomorrow for criticize” We have, we do. Generally, you only comment as a story begins, leaving when the story hits pure ineptitude.

“It happened”; yeah, they didn’t put the net under the trapeze again. Sheesh, where is OSHA?

Those zombies in panel three are getting hungry.
