    Okay … that’s more like you, Frazz – self-deprecating.

When I was 5, my father was part of a crew building a new house. It was surrounded by scaffolding for the bricklayers. I was up on the scaffolding watching the bricklayers and my brothers (12 and 15) were about 12 feet below on the ground standing next to a pile of sand. They encouraged me to jump into the sand pile. One of them held up a handful of sand, letting it flow through his fingers, and said, “see, it’s soft.” I jumped and learned that sand is not all that soft.

My university had an annual Turkey Trot. It was — literally — built on a mountain. Much easier coming down.

One Thanksgiving I just edged out a guy wearing a panda suit at the local race. What pandas have to do with Thanksgiving I have no idea.

Frazz, just yesterday, was judging people who don’t question myths. He’s often judgey.

Have to say, hearing a character refer to Frazz as UNCHARACTERISTICALLY judgy was one of the better laughs this strip has gotten in months.

Still weird that every kid in the school seems to know every aspect of his plethora of athletic hobbies, though.

Oh, those are all easy to jump into. It’s what happens afterwards that’s hard to take.
