The Four Tops!
Pretty fast reaction there by Ruthie in the final panel!
Albuquerque is a Turkey, and he’ feathered and he’s fine!
“The Laughing Vulcan and His Dog?”
In my elementary school, 5th or 6th grade, we learned “Song Sung Blue” among others that I can’t remember. :)
Yes songs been around for ages.
Some C&W in that mix?
The songs you remember from younger are the ones with playground lyrics. Such as “Ain’t no woman like the one-eyed gott.”
I still remember some of the lyrics to a song called(I think) “I got Sixpence” which I learned in 1st grade. None of us having the slightest idea what a sixpence was and why it was jolly.
My first grade teacher taught us to sing “Do Your Ears Hang Low?”
She said our parents might know a slightly different version.
Of course Ruthie knows the Four Tops; I’m sure Nick & Rose introduced her to MoTown.
