He should be fuzzier. After all, he has a wool feel.

You can also be lured into a lair.

Quick, Sherman! After Ernest leaves the hole, sit on it before the wolf eel does!

Lair or hole, you don’t follow a predator into its abode. Good rule for any prey, including man and especially woman…..

I’ve seen a number of these while diving in Washington and Alaska…definitely a lair (although I didn’t check for carpeting). :)

A REAL lair would have a Van Gogh.

Ernest is supposed to be the brains of the lagoon. Going into the hole/lair of a wolf eel is NOT a smart thing to do.

I’m pretty sure I know this guy.

Dissing or arguing with something labeled as a wolf something wouldn’t seem to be very smart.

Lair, hole not really much of a difference except that holes aren’t always dwellings. Lairs usually are.
