As she returned to consciousness in the hospital after a serious stroke, my mother had temporary aphasia. The first word that she was able to verbalize was “$#!T”. The nurse said that was very common.
A Plugger is usually a better weather prognosticator than a meteorologist and interjects different verbiage – some mostly four letter but some two letter.
I learned a long time ago to go backwards down the stairs when carrying things like a laundry basket. I brace the basket on the top stair and back down a few steps before moving the basket down. Going up, I do the same. Saves the back and also helps me avoid things like missing a step or not missing a cat or dog.

In a Japanese plugger’s case, it would be “itai” (though written as 痛い).

She hurt her back carrying a basket of clothes? That’s pretty sad.
