Children are the greatest fun! They make the humdrum day soooo much more fun to enjoy.
(Yeah, they’re a PITA sometimes if you don’t let go, but if you go with the fun, they make everything so much greater to enjoy! Jump in the leaves and thrash around wtih them!)
I miss the days when we could burn leaves in the back yard, even in town. I loved the smell, and it added something magical to Halloween. Yeah, yeah. I know all about air pollution and smog and emphysema and all that, so I am not politicking to bring back the right to burn. I just miss it.
While on my walk this afternoon I came upon a woman trying to rake a huge pile of leaves across the sidewalk. I slowed and wondered out loud, “Should I jump into the pile, or should I shuffle through, kicking leaves everywhere?” As she raised the rake in a baseball stance, she smiled and said, “Go ahead. I dare you.” (Yes, I behaved myself and walked around the pile.)

Never really though about it before, but I bet she would actually be a pretty good mom.
If she changed her mind and found the right caveman.

I was scolded for driving through a leaf pile in my youth because “there could have been a kid playing in the leaves”

Aren’t there only like eight of you in existence? Seems counter productive to humanity to not want more human beings to be born.

At least he’s not sitting in the cave staring at his i-Rock all day. Folks need to get out and get some fresh air!

WAIT JUST A MINUTE! I’ll have to call my California family, and WWII Navy Officer uncle to find out if it’s allowed to say this.

A big problem with prehistoric civilizations – keeping the yards raked.

In 64 years, no sign of children, here in The Land That Time Forgot. Do they even know how to make ’em ?

Last year I raked my leaves into a huge pile just so my grandkids could jump into it.
