Does anyone know if this is a current run of Doonesbury or is this from a decade or two ago? I used to read Doonesbury religiously but stopped around the mid 80’s or so. I just started reading again but I know some of these strips are re-runs.
“Combing the State…” Zeke has the same kind of wishful thinking as Indiana Jones describing Denholm Elliot’s Marcus Brody in “Last Crusade.” “He speaks a dozen languages, knows every custom. He’ll blend in, disappear. You’ll never see him again.”
“He had some kind of business earlier with Uncle Duke. They left.” It would be an honest answer, but would give Mom too much tracking info. Stick with, “Define morning. The sun wasn’t up.”

“Spam for brains”, nice one Duke. Nothing tops Uncle Stupidhead but it’s close

Every strip has a copyright date somewhere in the super fine print. This one has it between panels one and two.

Face it Zeke, if it wasn’t for the fact that you swallow most of the spiders in your sleep, the girls wouldn’t need you at all.

Kidnapping? Zeke didn’t read his contract with his bail bondman, did he?

“Zeke? Zeke who?”

In Seattle today, I’m sure Zeke could find some people that would try to get him back on the streets.
