yes you should know the only way to get decent raise is move employers every couple of years (says the person been in same job for 12 years)

You have survived the grind all these years and should know better.

And further:

I feel the boss could use a little introspection.

That’s a lame and round about way to say, “No.” to a raise.

A lot of teachers retire then go back to teaching…

Raises should all be automatic, as with stocks. But that assumes companies are successful
