There was a guy at my work who had back problems. He was a programmer. He mounted his monitor (real heavy in those days) over the floor facing down and rigged his keyboard and mouse as well. He worked laying on his back on the floor. I never saw him asleep. BTW, his work was break-though stuff.
If you adjust things correctly, it will do nice things for your back. We as a species were not meant to sit slumped in a chair all day. We spent a hundred thousand years or more standing up and walking around, not sitting in chairs.
I worked at one location where they tried the “stand-up for meetings” that was popular. They allowed me to have a chair due to a documented bad back and over 65. The guys in their 40’s gave up after a couple of weeks, we went back to sitting in chairs around a table. Got a lot more done. Standing overlooked that we worked with laptops during the meeting.
