In a previous strip of Born Loser, Brutus was saying that everywhere he went, it rained. We the commentors thought that made him a rain maker, his next lucrative profession. Now we find Cosmo pursuing another career goal as a water witch, only using golf, not a willow twig.
My late wife and our dear friend took part of a charity golf tournament in the Phoenix, AZ area. My late wife found two things during the event. Water and trees. No matter how skinny the tree was, she would hit it with her golf ball. She also found every water hazard the course had to offer.

Just Cosmo’s luck, he will hit the water on the golf course, but not by playing golf in the desert. He will get lots of sand bunker shots instead.

One usually has to get out of the woods to find water.

If that don’t work, go to the 19th hole, or go there even if you do find the lake.

With your luck… you’re likely to get into a sand trap.
