I can go to the clinic and get blood work done, I can schedule vaccinations online, BUT to get my blood pressure taken (officially), I have to call and fight my way through the Kaiser phone tree. Guess who is switching Medicare providers?
And even after listening to all the options there is still not the one that I need. Can’t wait till they improve the system to include 2 or 3 digits. Only a possible 9 choices is far too limiting.
I have been known to tell them “If my call really was important to you, you’d hire enough reps to handle the call volume instead of trying to make me hang up in frustration!”
The Lovely & Charming Mrs. Cowboy used to managed customer service call centers; She would discipline them if a call wasn’t answered within 3 rings. And that was by a live human being whose native language was English!
wow, reading these comments, i just smile that the “technology” hasn’t caught on in japan yet. all the medical professionals we deal with, including big hospital type places, have human beings answering phone calls…

THIS is why I just turn up at our doctor’s walk-in clinic. Navigating their dial-in system is almost impossible. :P
