I hope everyone is enjoying their Halloween candy.
This is probably the first year of my adult life that I haven’t purchased any Halloween candy for myself. I live in a high-rise, so no trick or treaters at my door.
One year, I stopped on Halloween at the drug store and bought numerous bags of half-price candy, thinking it was all for me. Then I saw the first trick or treaters coming by, and I stood in front of my building for a while and gave each kid that came by a big handful of candy. They were so excited to see how much they were getting. It was so much fun.
That was nice of you! We don’t get many Trick or Treaters at our apartment, the probably all go to festivals at their churches. My hubby has invited our upstairs neighbor to bring her granddaughter by so we can pass out some treats.
Mmmmm chocolate. There have been boxes of treats in the dining room waiting to be bagged to give out. I am not allowed to eat any of it but I do get the leftovers. Should I admit that I hope the weather is terrible and very few kids come to the door? Nah, love to see all the costumes. Since I know all the kids on the street I would not begrudge them some candy. Now, those who are brought over from the other side of town because this is a ‘wealthier’ neighbourhood I could do without. You can tell who they are – the locals walk from house to house, the imports are driven from house to house. I suspect that if the drivers of the vehicles spent the money they are using up in gas on candy all the kids in the vehicle would get more than they do going door to door.
Ah, a beautiful Sunday with a few snowflakes in the air. Well, maybe not quite so beautiful after all. I hope you are enjoying this day.

It’s nice that the leaves of fall seem to have arrived just in time for Halloween. I think I’ll get some wax lips just for old time sake.

We all know Cathy would like to rake up a pile of chocolate kisses and leap on it. :)

Chocolate air? That means Electra’s not allowed to breathe it.

I hated chocolate as a kid…not so anymore. We always get some candy but only have a few kids…so my hubby gets most of it.
