It should be noted that Charles Schulz hated the name “Peanuts” for his comic strip. He wanted to call it “Lil’ Folks” but another comic strip had a similar title. The syndicate named it “Peanuts.”

When he was asked what he did for a living Schulz would say he drew the comic strip with Charlie Brown and Snoopy. He wouldn’t say “Peanuts.”

have a paperback somewhere that discusses Peanuts as “a psychological phenomenon” and contains a sample strip with the characters as teenagers, exhibiting typical angst of that age. It was grotesque and rather repellant.

At their age, there’s no way he got up the momentum to do more than shuffle past Lucy as she yoinked the ball away. That break was self-inflicted to get his opioid script renewed.

Snoopy took his last trip to the vet.

I recall him ince giving her a kiss on the cheek when sge brought himna cupcake in honor Beethoven’s birthday. But when she turned and saw Snoopy, she thought the kiss had come from him sn fled in disgust.

There actually was a “Peanuts Movie,” that came out in 2015. It obviously doesn’t give any indication of what happens in their futures, but it did give a few good possibilities, and, was actually very well-done.
