I like soccer a lot. Sometimes the fake injuries are silly. On the other hand, I’ve been kicked and stepped on and had those head-on-head collisions — and they hurt!
If a hockey player tried to pull the stunts those drama queens resort to he’d get the crap knocked out of him on his next shift. That crap detracts from the beauty of the game.
We actually had soccer in PE in high school in the Atlanta area in the 1960s. At the age of 15 I took the ball away from a friend on the other team who was a tackle in the school football team. He hit me in such a way that I got flipped through the air and landed on my left arm, and both of the lower arm bones broke. It hurt, but we didn’t realize it was broken so I finished the game, and took the ball away from him again! By the time the school day was over it had swollen to twice normal size, and I ended up in a caste for a while. The strange thing to me watching some of the antics these days is that I always thought of myself as a bit of a wimp compared to my more athletic friends, and I wonder how the drama queens would react to a real injury!

Somebody with a prosthetic arm would be great at this if the arm was designed for this purpose.

Drama queens. Many fewer soaps on TV, I’ve read. Guess soccor is taking up the slack,

Sadly the injuries in football (American) are for real and no joke.
