Querulous is not really the same as easily offended. Easily offended people tend to withdraw; the querulous are with you for the annoyance.

The behavior of the easily offended is really hard to defend.

seems like that’s a group for nearly everyone these days. (except me of course)

I can’t remember which Marx Brothers movie, but I like the scene where Margaret Dumont is offended and says, “Well, I never!” And Groucho replies, “That doesn’t surprise me.”

“Why does SHE get to ask you questions?!” Um, you all do. Did you mean to ask why Horace called on her first, or do you find something so objectionable about her that you want her specially barred?
