there are no shifting focal points in Rose’s painting. The eye is pulled to the pavement of the street to the neglect of the horizon, the buildings and the foreground.

As the husband of a Dutch artist, I can assure you that my pronunciation is absolutely correct, and probably the only thing I can say that sounds even remotely Dutch.
