Today’s strip reminds me of the last Calvin and Hobbes strip on 31 December 1995. Calvin and Hobbes commented on the beauty of the snow and one of them said that everything was covered over and it was like a new world. Calvin said, “It’s a magical world, Hobbes.” In the last panel, he said, “Let’s go exploring.”

“It’s A Magical World” was used as the title of the last original Calvin and Hobbes collection with that wonderful last strip appearing right at the end.

Clean plate AND clean slate, guys!

There’s nothing like doggy drool on clean plates!

In the history of the world there has probably never been a boy who had a dog that couldn’t relate to what Rover is saying, especially on Liver and Onions night.

Everyone has their own perspective on things!

You’re right, Rover,I never met a dog who wouldn’t clean the plate/s!

Rover is unimpressed until Red brings up the subject of leftover food…

Then put in the dishwasher to de-“bug” it.
