When I take my Lyla, she has to have me hold her up with my left arm so she can look out the driver’s side window. My Ella is blind, so she is happy sitting in the seat licking everything.
Please be sure your front air bag is off if your dog is in the front seat! They could be seriously injured or killed if it goes off.
Also, please use a seatbelt for them. You can buy one, or even just tie a leash to the car seatbelt or seat (attached to a soft harness on the dog, not a collar, so it won’t be injured in case of an accident or sudden stop). Not only does it keep your pet safe, but if you’re injured in an accident, some dogs will try to “protect” you from the emergency rescuers — potentially keeping you from getting the care you need.
Love the comic and what it is meant to convey, but.. Back seat , and harness belt, even if you can figure out how to get some “hanging out the window” action. Our pups need protection just like our kids. Still, love the comic strip. Safety safety first.

My Labrador always sat in the front seat! And he waited for me in the driver seat when I returned like he wanted to drive!

My girl loves to go for a ride. Doesn’t matter if it’s the front or the back, so long as she gets to go along.
