He won’t get a red nose drinking water.

It is horribly wrong indeed but in case you didn’t know Andy, water is also drinkable (specially in bottles, and more specifically expensive ones). Charlie, apparently, had been anticipating such moments so he kept it with him wherever he went.

Andy wanted a bottle of beer. You know, as in the old song:

Ninety Nine bottles of beer on the wall, ninety nine bottles of beer on the wall. Take one down and pass it around.

Ninety Eight bottles of beer…….. and so on.

Best laid plans…..

It went wrong Andy because Charlie knows you too well.

Culture changes, Andy. In some worlds, Charlie is “with it”.

I see lots of people running round with bottles of water all the time. I guess they are expecting to run into Andy at some point.

He’s going to the pub… in his silly purple suit… So, I went to the Mirror to see how he colour was different… Different comic entirely… So, went back a day… still different.

For someone who dislikes water he certainty spends a lot of time in it (the canal). Is the Hartlepool Canal fresh. salt, or brackish water?

Andy getting water is a serious drinking problem for him.

The only water Andy ever touches is in the canal.

One of my all-time favorite Don Martin articles in Mad Magazine was about unusual comic sound effects. For Andy Capp, he had Andy accidentally drinking water, and making all kinds of desperate gagging noises!

You can tell that Charlie is struggling not to laugh in the second panel.

Hey, Affie.

I’m currently at the library after having just been to KFC. I have submitted my cashback request for the Kleenex tissues. Just waiting for it to be approved. Apparently I only need to submit 1 more cashback request to become a ‘Gold’ member.

Had a great day today. I have no idea what I’ll be doing tomorrow or Friday though. If I receive something from the bingo in the post tomorrow then I’ll go on Friday. I used to get texts from the bingo but they got too much and I requested to opt out of them. The manager actually done it for me. He’s called Vincent and he’s a legend.
