You’re the king of annoyance, Chesney.

All my girl kitties have been spayed now and their incisions are healing well. I took off their cones earlier than I was supposed to (shame on me!). Cindy and Panther are supposed to be wearing their cones for another week yet, but they are not bothering the incisions, so I’m not concerned about that. I took them off Molly and Pebbles early too.

I expect to get CeeCee’s medical records in the morning mail and I will update her microchip information into my name. I was able to take down the big dog crate that had been cluttering up my living room. CeeCee was no longer using it. I put Panther and Cindy in it for a day or so after theirs spays just to keep them quiet while they got used to those nasty cones. CeeCee is exploring all over and has been upstairs in my bedroom, but so far, I have not caught her sharing the bed with me. She approaches me for petting and she arches her back and rubs her head on my hand. She doesn’t seem to like being picked up or held, so I just won’t try doing that. She hasn’t sat on my lap yet, but I’m sure that will come in time. I have to admit, I wasn’t sure she could settle down with me at first. Too many other cats for one who is used to being an only cat. But while she still hisses at the other cats sometimes, they ignore her, so I’m not worried about fights breaking out. CeeCee actually settled in much faster than I expected. She is family now.

Oh, and while I was cleaning yesterday, I found a bottle of Feliway spray that I didn’t even know I had. I could have used that earlier when transporting Panther to the vet.

Come, little Chesney, let me cuddle you – you are right just the way you are!

Yes, Chesney, you are that annoying. But so are Smudge and Mouse when they tap dance on my keyboard while I’m trying to work.

Personally, I love Chesney’s attitude. I wonder how he would get along with Snow, who appears AGAIN today!! BTW, all of California is getting drenched – except us! Stoopid heavy mist is all we had yesterday, and our 100% chance of rain overnight produced only heavy wind.

Uh, er…but why would Ches actually CARE? Is this a new side of him we’re seeing?

Yes, Chesney, you are super annoying, but we like you anyway. Hey, nobody’s perfect! On another note, saw two golden two golden crowned kinglets, two varied thrushes, two robins, and two wrens while out walking today.
