He’ll find most of it, but that doesn’t mean he’ll put anything away.

Threaten to “help” him clean his room. Do it once (“You don’t need this, do you? Let’s give it to the GoodWill … Why are you keeping this? Into the trash it goes! … You don’t play with this anymore. Let’s give it to your cousins” … and so on—with no redemption of anything thus disposed of). You’ll only need to do it once; at least that’s the way it worked when my mother used the same technique on me!

Today’s teenagers wouldn’t be motivated to attempt to look. They would give up. Hide his smartphone instead.

We’ve all seen the Perfessor’s mess of a desk. Where do you think Skyler gets his bad habits from?

Throw his dinner in there for him to eat where it lands, if it doesn’t stick…

I like it. Wish I had thought of that while raising 4 kids(1 son, 3 daughters) it might have gotten the girls to clean their rooms

Skyler will just frantically throw stuff around while looking for the money, making an even BIGGER mess!

And tear up more stuff just to find it!
