Today is:

NATIONAL DRESS UP YOUR PET DAY. I don’t believe in dressing up pets. My cats wouldn’t like it anyway. A couple of them would rip me to shreds if I even tried to dress them up.

NATIONAL VISION BOARD DAY. National Vision Board Day on the second Saturday in January encourages us to set our goals in a visual way. Get out the sticky notes, markers, and inspiration and start plotting your goals for the new year!

RATIFICATION DAY. Ratification Day on January 14th annually recognizes the act that officially ended the American Revolution. The day commemorates the ratification of the Treaty of Paris on January 14, 1784, at the Maryland State House in Annapolis, Maryland, by the Confederation Congress.

NATIONAL HOT PASTRAMI SANDWICH DAY

From yesterday’s comments to Zoomer&Yeti who said,“Today will be a lucky Friday The 13th for me – I am bringing home my new furry boss this afternoon! I adopted an 8-year-old cat named Rose.”

Congratulations on your new furry boss! It’s wonderful that you are adopting an older kitty. I hope you have many years together.

Seems Oliver made an executive decision.

Just can’t get mad at lil Ollie. And tips? Chez would confiscate them anyways. Craig and I stayed at a few questionable motels (only because they took dogs) where I tracked down the maid to give her a tip as I didn’t trust that the owner wouldn’t get to it first.

Well he is a cat, no matter how cute a kitten he is.

Jenny took me to see Vici Lawrence last night.

She still has it! Funny lady.

I can see him placing them on the sill and pushing each one delicately till it falls.

D.a.m.n. It’s snowing now in NYC. It was forecast to be partly sunny.

Oops! Look out for falling luggage! Oh well, I’m sure Oliver didn’t mean any harm. On another note, saw a varied thrush, a chickadee, a spotted towhee, a Steller’s jay, a wren, two ravens, and golden crowned kinglet while out walking today.
