Hardly worse than the actual food pyramid foisted on us, saying that we should eat twice as much bread & pasta as vegetables or fruit

I remember some cough syrups (not prescription) being quite tasty. When given the opportunity, I’d even take quick swills of it just for that sweet licorice flavor.

It’s like an oreo cookie, that you might have dropped on the ground.

Any mummies inside the pyramid, or just your own Mummy on the outside making you eat it!

I’m going to channel my inner Sheldon Cooper today. The food pyramid was discontinued before this strip was published in 2008 and replaced with “MyPlate.” Similar concept. I now return you to silly and frivolous comments.

The fact that it’s called the Food Pyramid and not the Food Triangle implies at least 2, maybe even 3 more sides…

The ancient Egyptians had a food pyramid with a crocodile on the bottom, and look what happened to them.

All I know is that ice cream is one of the food groups. Near the bottom, too.

I remember learning about the 4 Food Groups in school: Stuff that grows in the Ground, Other Stuff that grows in the Ground, Animal Flesh and Mammary Secretions. And the 5th Group: Chemicals.

Alice’s interpretation of the vaunted “food pyramid” makes it seem almost attractive!
